This November will be the 100 year anniversary of World War 1.
A
few months ago I was asked to design a special commemorative tea towel
to go with local Whitstable poet and ex-soldier Ron Cove's poem, "Where
the Poppies Grow".
The Tea Towel is now up for sale on Lea
Ray's website, with all profits being donated to Help for Heroes, a
charity whose main aim is to help those soldiers wounded in war.
You can buy the tea towel here: http://www.learay.co.uk/roncove/where-the-poppies-grow-tea-towel

Finished Whitstable tea towel
The tea towel I designed for Mosaic in Whitstable is now fully printed, packaged and available to buy. The tea towel features a two colour screen printed design on 100% unbleached cotton.
I'm now working on a little range of products with this design and tote bags are next.
I'm hoping to get some better photographs soon!

Seagfried and Friends
I've not been keeping this blog up to date recently, but will try and do better from now on!
For the past month our limited edition screen print has been on sale at the Turner and on their online shop.
It turned out to be a fairly big piece, just under A2 in size. No wonder my arms and shoulders hurt so much after printing them!
You can buy the print and also the matching series of greetings cards at the Turner or on their online shop: here

Bit of Fawn and Thistle blogger love
The lovely Beki, over at Smock to Frock, has reviewed a few of our products.
I love that she's photographed them on an amazing pair of antlers, she seems to share Fawn and Thistle's love of animals and anything Stag related.
Be sure to check out her lovely blog.

A Flock of Seagulls
Tomorrow I'm going to be screen printing a new design by Fawn and
Thistle (myself and Sangita Southgate), specially commissioned by the
Turner Contemporary to tie in with their upcoming Helen Frankenthaler
exhibition this January http://www.turnercontemporary.org/exhibitions/making-painting-helen-frankenthaler-and-jmw-turner
For this, there has been quite a few bird illustrations going on:

Happy (Belated) New Year
I can't say 2013 was my best year (but it was at least better than 2012!), however, I did finish and pass my MA, get a job as a graphic design lecturer and start what will hopefully be a successful business. So, looking to the future, hopefully 2014 will be amazing.
Anyone have any good New Year's resolutions? Mine is to procrastinate less....already been failing at that though.

Giant Sea monsters
Here's the black and white version of an illustration I've been commissioned to do for some Whitstable tea towels.
I now want to do a massive map covered in giant sea creatures. Fish are scary.
