Bit of Fawn and Thistle blogger love

The lovely Beki, over at Smock to Frock, has reviewed a few of our products.

I love that she's photographed them on an amazing pair of antlers, she seems to share Fawn and Thistle's love of animals and anything Stag related.

Be sure to check out her lovely blog.

The Bow and the Butterfly

I'm not terribly good at naming my work, huh? Oh well, here's the Third and final Illustration for Grace magazine. I cannot wait to see the finished magazine!

The coloured version is currently available as an A4 print. It will soon be up on either my Etsy or BigCartel store (I can't choose which one to go with!)

Wolf Alice

Here's the second illustration I've done for Grace Magazine. I'm pretty pleased with it and will hopefully be turning it into a screen print soon. I'm currently trying to decide on the setting up of an online shop, but it's available to buy as an A4 print for £16 at the moment.

Nature Girl: Two Ways

I've been playing around with adding some subtle colour on to my new illustration. I can't decide which I like best!

Grace: Nature Girl

Here is the first of three illustrations I'm doing for Grace magazine. I'm pretty pleased with it, as I haven't drawn people in such a long time!
During my first MA tutorial, the tutor told me-in a very unsubtle way-that I was bad at drawing figures and faces. I know you should never take criticism to heart, but as I was already going through a lot at the time, I did, and since then I've found life drawing to be incredibly stressful. Because of this, I stopped drawing one of my favourite subjects (I know, dumb!), so I'm feeling pretty happy with this.

Don't let criticism bring you down people!

Fashion illustrations

I was recently asked by clothing brand to do some Illustrations for their upcoming spring/summer 2013 collection.

Here are my original drawings, not the successful ones though. I'm keeping them until a later date!

New Screenprints

So here's some better images of the screen prints currently being exhibited at the Silent Auction at the Abbey Tavern.

I changed my image from the penguin book design cover because I thought it'd make a good print and am considering making a series of these kind of images based on various stories

Silent Auction

My work is going to be exhibited in the upcoming silent auction taking place at the Abbey Tavern in Kentish Town this week. I've out in 4 original screen prints and one original drawing (sorry about the bad photo quality! I had to photograph them in my dim basement flat once framed!)

The quartet of deliverance rides...

Here is my newest illustration for the Apocalypse issue of Electric Sheep Magazine.

And also, here's some Metallica...

got myself a walking, talking, something, something, living doll...

My illustration work for Filament magazine's red issue. The article is about the red umbrella project that aims to give sex workers more autonomy. I wanted to show this by having the figure start out as just a doll - easily manipulated and objectified - before gradually turning into a fully realised, independent woman .
